PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how Sigyl AI ("Sigyl," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Sigyl AI localization platform (the "Platform") at https://www.sigylai.com/ (the "Website"). Sigyl AI is a business tool that helps publishers, studios, and creators localize manga and webtoon content into other languages. It is intended for business use, not for personal consumer use.

By using the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. Questions may be sent to privacy@sigylai.com.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use content you upload to train machine-learning models for other customers.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  1. Account and contact information. When you or your organization register, we collect information such as your name, work email address, organization name, and role.
  2. Customer Content. To provide the Platform, we process the files you upload and generate — source images, extracted text and sound effects, translations, glossaries, and exported outputs (together, "Customer Content"). Customer Content is processed on your behalf to deliver localization; see Section 4.
  3. Usage and technical information. We collect information about how the Platform is used and the devices and connections used to access it, such as log data, IP address, browser and device type, feature usage, and timestamps.
  4. Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information described above to:

  1. provide, operate, secure, and support the Platform, including running extraction, translation, relettering, review, and export;
  2. authenticate users and manage accounts and access;
  3. communicate with you about your account, support requests, security, and service changes;
  4. bill for and administer paid plans;
  5. monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability, security, and performance of the Platform;
  6. comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We may create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you or any individual, and use them for operating and improving the Platform.

4. CUSTOMER CONTENT AND AI MODELS

Customer Content is processed to deliver the Platform to you. To perform localization, Customer Content and text extracted from it may be sent to third-party AI model providers and cloud infrastructure acting as our subprocessors, solely to produce the results you request.

We do not use your Customer Content to train, fine-tune, or improve machine-learning models for other customers or for our general model development. As between you and us, you retain ownership of your Customer Content, and with respect to that content we act as a processor on your behalf and you are the controller.

5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We share information only as needed to run the Platform and as described here:

  • Subprocessors. Service providers that host infrastructure and provide AI translation/detection, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only to deliver the Platform to you.
  • Legal and safety. To comply with law, legal process, or a government request; to enforce our agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sigyl, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

6. SUBPROCESSORS

We use the following categories of subprocessors to provide the Platform:

  • Google Cloud Platform — cloud hosting, storage, and compute (United States).
  • Google (Gemini / Vertex AI) — machine translation and vision/detection models used to process content you submit for localization.
  • Amazon Web Services — cloud infrastructure and storage (United States).

The specific list may change as the Platform evolves; we will update this section accordingly. Questions about our subprocessors may be sent to privacy@sigylai.com.

7. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

The Website and Platform use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember preferences, and we may use limited analytics to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Platform works. We honor recognized "Do Not Track" / opt-out signals where required.

8. DATA SECURITY

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, and misuse, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. Customer Content is retained while your account is active or until you delete it, after which it is removed from active systems, with backups purged within a limited period, except where retention is required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting privacy@sigylai.com; we may verify your request before acting on it.

10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

We are based in the United States and our infrastructure and subprocessors are primarily located there. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers of personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where we process Customer Content on your behalf, we will reasonably assist you, as the controller, in responding to data-subject requests. To exercise your rights or make a request, contact privacy@sigylai.com. California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information and request deletion as provided by California law; we do not sell personal information.

12. CHILDREN

The Platform is a business tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Website with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-product. Your continued use of the Platform after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
